Chlamydia trachomatis
Chlamydia trachomatis is a bacterium and is one of the more common infections with very few symptoms in both partners (only 25% of patients report slightly increased secretions, occasional pain in the small stomach, discomfort in the scrotum, heaviness in the small stomach when urinating). Infection is associated with sterility. Infection is suspected in men by a poor spermogram, and in women by blocked fallopian tubes as well as spontaneous abortions.
It is diagnosed by smear analysis and serological tests. In the treatment, appropriate antibiotics are used, sometimes for a long time, but successfully.
